Terms of Use

1. Acceptance and eligibility

These Terms of Use govern access to and use of ServiceVedas, including its websites, accounts, marketplace listings, service requests, provider profiles, quotation workflows, messaging, files, orders, payments, reviews, notifications, and related tools (collectively, the "Platform"). By creating an account, selecting an acceptance checkbox, or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms.

You must be legally capable of entering a binding agreement. If you use ServiceVedas for a company, agency, vendor, production house, language service provider, freelancer, or other organization, you confirm that you are authorized to accept these Terms for that organization.

2. What ServiceVedas provides

ServiceVedas is a marketplace and workflow platform for language, AI data, creative, media, and professional services. Users can browse services and providers, request quotes, manage projects, share files, approve deliverables, and leave reviews. Business accounts can act as both clients and service providers by offering services, posting service requirements, sending proposals, managing contracts, and receiving or releasing payments. ServiceVedas is not a party to the services contract unless expressly stated in writing.

3. Account types

• User accounts may browse services, request quotations, hire providers, manage orders, and review completed work.
• Business accounts may operate as client plus service provider accounts for companies, agencies, vendors, LSPs, freelancers, production houses, and similar providers.
• Admin accounts are internal or authorized operational accounts used to manage platform safety, support, verification, and compliance workflows.
• Account information, verification details, contact information, service categories, languages, skills, portfolio, pricing, and availability must be accurate and current.

4. Marketplace services and requirements

Service listings and service requirements must describe genuine work connected with ServiceVedas categories, including translation, transcription, transliteration, DTP, subtitling, captioning, AI/ML data collection, annotation, voiceover, dubbing, interpretation, transcreation, direction, production, copywriting, acting, modelling, anchoring, photography, video editing, graphic design, animation, content creation, event management, content writing, and related professional services. Category, subcategory, languages, budget, delivery time, files, instructions, and scope should be clear enough for the other party to evaluate the work.

5. User responsibilities

• Provide truthful profile, contact, project, payment, and communication information.
• Review provider profiles, portfolios, quotes, service descriptions, pricing, timelines, and reviews before ordering services.
• Share only files and instructions you are authorized to provide.
• Respond to messages, approvals, revision requests, and payment steps in a professional and timely manner.
• Do not misuse provider information for unrelated marketing, scraping, resale, harassment, or fraud.

6. Business and provider responsibilities

Business and provider accounts are responsible for their company information, verification materials, service listings, proposals, quotes, pricing, portfolio, team access, deliverables, communications, and compliance with applicable tax, business, consumer, employment, privacy, intellectual-property, accessibility, advertising, and industry laws.

Providers must not misrepresent skills, language ability, certifications, team capacity, AI use, turnaround time, ownership rights, or experience. Providers must deliver work according to the accepted scope or communicate issues promptly through the Platform.

7. Prohibited marketplace activity

• No fake accounts, deceptive provider profiles, misleading service listings, or impersonation.
• No illegal services, malware, credential theft, financial fraud, spam, harassment, or abusive automation.
• No requests for unnecessary sensitive data, passwords, OTP codes, bank credentials, or identity documents outside a lawful workflow.
• No circumvention of ServiceVedas payment, quote, review, verification, or safety systems where those systems apply.
• No discriminatory, exploitative, infringing, defamatory, adult, violent, or otherwise unlawful content or service requests.

8. Quotes, orders, contracts, and deliverables

A request, quote, proposal, shortlist, chat message, or listing does not by itself create a final services contract. A contract or order starts only when the relevant parties accept the applicable scope, budget, timeline, payment terms, and delivery requirements. Users and providers are responsible for reviewing contract details before acceptance. Deliverables, revisions, file handover, acceptance, and cancellation are governed by the accepted scope, these Terms, and any additional written agreement between the parties.

9. Payments, escrow, fees, and taxes

Payment features may support wallets, invoices, service fees, taxes, withdrawals, refunds, escrow-like holds, or third-party payment processors such as PayPal where enabled. ServiceVedas may charge platform, subscription, posting, payment, withdrawal, or service fees shown before purchase or in the relevant plan. Each party is responsible for its own taxes, reporting, invoices, chargebacks, and payment compliance unless a separate written agreement states otherwise.

10. Reviews and ratings

Reviews and ratings should reflect real completed ServiceVedas work. Do not post fake, paid, retaliatory, misleading, discriminatory, confidential, or abusive reviews. ServiceVedas may remove or restrict reviews that appear fraudulent, unlawful, irrelevant, or inconsistent with these Terms.

11. Messaging, meetings, and files

Platform communication tools may include chat, notifications, file sharing, voice notes, video meetings, and support messages. Users are responsible for the content they send, files they upload, meeting conduct, confidentiality obligations, and any notices or consents required for recording, transcription, AI assistance, or processing sensitive project information.

12. AI and data services

ServiceVedas may include AI-assisted search, drafting, classification, matching, recommendations, summaries, data collection, annotation, evaluation, or support features. AI outputs and provider claims must be reviewed by humans before reliance. Users and providers are responsible for lawful data sourcing, consent, licensing, confidentiality, model-training restrictions, quality control, and privacy obligations connected with AI, data, annotation, TTS, STT, OCR, RLHF, or evaluation projects.

13. Third-party services

Authentication, email, SMS, maps, storage, cloud hosting, analytics, video meetings, payment processing, PayPal, calendar tools, and other features may depend on third-party providers. Their own terms and privacy practices may apply. ServiceVedas is not responsible for external sites, processors, payment providers, availability, errors, chargebacks, or third-party decisions beyond its reasonable control.

14. User content and intellectual property

You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant ServiceVedas a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, format, display, transmit, and process that content as needed to operate, secure, promote, and improve requested Platform features. You confirm that you have the rights needed to submit logos, portfolios, files, briefs, datasets, scripts, media, translations, recordings, deliverables, and other content.

15. Privacy and confidentiality

Personal information and business information are processed to provide accounts, verification, service listings, requests, quotes, orders, payments, support, security, notifications, and user-selected preferences. Parties should protect confidential files, project instructions, personal data, and client materials. The ServiceVedas Privacy Policy should be read together with these Terms.

16. Suspension and enforcement

ServiceVedas may review content, request verification, limit messaging, pause payments, remove listings, restrict reviews, suspend accounts, preserve records, or report activity when reasonably necessary to protect users, investigate misuse, prevent fraud, comply with law, enforce these Terms, or protect the Platform.

17. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

ServiceVedas provides marketplace technology and does not guarantee provider quality, client conduct, project availability, quote volume, service outcomes, payment release, delivery acceptance, ratings, earnings, or the accuracy of user-submitted content. To the maximum extent permitted by law, ServiceVedas is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, lost profits, lost data, lost opportunities, user conduct, third-party services, or disputes between users and providers. Liability that cannot lawfully be excluded remains unaffected.

18. Changes, law, and contact

These Terms may be updated when Platform features, providers, legal requirements, or business practices change. The updated date will be shown at the top. These Terms are subject to applicable Indian law and mandatory laws that cannot be waived. Questions, suspected fraud, account concerns, or legal notices should be submitted through ServiceVedas support. Do not send passwords, OTP codes, bank credentials, or unnecessary sensitive data in a support message.
